Preseco wins a regional innovation prize rewarded by INNOFINLAND

Preseco Oy has today been rewarded a regional INNOFINLAND prize given by T&E- centre (Employment and Economic Development centre). The Prize has been rewarded for an innovative and novel turn-key waste management plant solution in Norway.  The prize was handed out by the Espoo city Mayor Mrs. Marketta Kokkonen.

A compact and local total solutions for handling slaughter house waste in Malvik, Norway

The turn-key –solution of Preseco is designed for on-site -handling and utilizing all waste streams from a big slaughter house in Norway.  The plant integrates state-of-the-art technologies: a drum composting plant, a waste water treatment plant and a biogas plant. The end products are pure compost, biogas and clean water, leaving nothing to be transported or purified elsewhere, except for the small amounts of risk waste. The plant is also designed for handling all household waste from the nearby community. The bio-energy is used for the plant, making it energy self-sufficient.

INNOFINLAND 08 -prize

The purpose of INNOFINLAND is to promote creativity, skill, entrepreneurial spirit and co-operation in Finland in a practical and creative way in order to nationally improve opportunities for wellbeing. President of the Republic Tarja Halonen acts as the patron of the project. The theme for INNOFINLAND 08 is ‘Climate and energy´.
