SCREENINGS TREATMENT

Screenings washer

The screened material can be cleaned from organic matter which, in turn, can be returned to the treatment process using a screenings washer. In this way, the volume of the screenings can be reduced, it becomes less smelly, and additional supplements can be added to the treatment process.

Operationally, the equipment works continuously, which means that screenings can be fed uninterrupted into it. The construction of the washer is compact and simple. The screenings coming out of the machine are either transferred for further treatment or directed into a container.

Screenings press

A screenings press is intended for the treatment of screened material discharged from the screen or screenings washer. The equipment is used to press the screenings into smaller volumes, simultaneously removing water from the screened material by compression.

The working principle of a screenings press is that a piston presses the screenings into a steel pipe. At the forepart of the pipe, reject water from the screenings is removed. The screened material is compressed in the pipe by pushing, and water is separated from the screenings as a result of this compression. The compression can be programmed based on the quality of the process and the screenings.

Compressed screenings can be steered in all directions, including upwards, the direction of the pipe can be altered, if necessary, and the transfer distances can be extensive. To minimise odour nuisance, a plastic screenings sock can be placed at the end of the exhaust pipe, into which the compressed screenings are discharged.

Transferring screenings

Our product range includes various screw conveyors for transferring screenings. These conveyors can be used to construct the desired transfer equipment for the transfer of screened material to its place of storage.
